Privacy policy

Tellvo.app is a phone app for SIP lines. This policy covers the iPhone app, the setup page at setup.tellvo.app, the push service behind calls while the app is closed, and this website. In short: we keep what each feature needs to work, nothing for ads, and we never track you across apps or websites.

On your iPhone

• Your lines (server, username and the other settings you enter) are stored on your iPhone.
• Passwords are kept in the iPhone Keychain, available only on this device after it was first unlocked, and never synced to iCloud.
• Call history shown in the app stays on your iPhone. Calls also appear in the Phone app’s Recents, which iOS manages.
• Contacts are read on your iPhone to show names and are not sent to us.

Setting up from your computer

When you pair the setup page with your iPhone, everything between the browser and the phone is end-to-end encrypted. Our relay only passes encrypted messages along for the length of the session; it cannot read them and does not store them.

Calls while the app is closed

iOS doesn’t let an app listen for calls in the background, so this feature runs on our push service. When you turn it on, the service needs:

• The lines you choose to cover, including their passwords, so it can sign in to your provider on your behalf and see incoming calls.
• Your iPhone’s push token, to wake your iPhone for a call.
• The model of your iPhone (an identifier such as iPhone12,1, not the name you gave it), its iOS version and the Tellvo.app version, for support and compatibility.

We use this data only to deliver calls to you. Turn the feature off or remove a line and the service stops signing in for it.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. We learn which plan is active on your Apple ID so the app can unlock it; we never see your payment details.

This website

• The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic request data (such as IP addresses) to serve and protect it.
• We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you.
• The only cookie we set is theme, which remembers whether you chose a light or dark page. It is shared with setup.tellvo.app and contains nothing else.

Support

If you write to us, we keep your email and whatever you send (such as a SIP log) to answer you.

No tracking

We don’t sell your data, show ads, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Your choices

You can remove lines and turn off calls while the app is closed at any time in the app. To ask about your data or have it deleted, write to [email protected].

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page.
